Truth or Consequenses

This section is for communications between myself and people who want to mislead people about their products and advice that can potentially damage or destroy their property.

This First one is between myself and Blue Bell from VVS, He took in upon himself to disrupt a community chat, so I invited him to a spirited private chat, and this is how it went;

Fact or Fiction

You Be the Judge

Muddy Coyote:
Hi there

Blue Bell:
Good day, apologies still out and about at this time. Should be home here in the next few hours

Best~

Muddy Coyote:
Leave me a message, and ill answer in the morning

Blue Bell:
You got it!

Feel free to shoot me a jingle whenever it’s not a bad time. Bit late here at this time. We can go into better detail here whenever ya got a nibble

Muddy Coyote:
Nibble

Im on and off, but lets talk

Blue Bell:
Good stuff, so first thing I would like deep dive on is where did ya get that degree in invplastics/polymeric engineering?

Muddy Coyote:
University of Florida

Why?

Blue Bell:
So with this education, I assume it resulted in some form of field of employment specializing with that degree? With the volunteer firefighting being something that was just on the side.

Also apologies in advance if my response time varies

Muddy Coyote:
The company I was working for sent me to school, the volunteer firefighter dept is volunteer, which means its not paid

Blue Bell:
I gotcha, was this I assume past company in correlation to landing on that specific field of study?

Muddy Coyote:
What?

Blue Bell:
Correct me if I’m not hearing it correct. A company you were working for however long ago this was sent you to school for this degree? I’ve heard you mention the volunteer firefighting for what I believe to be 35+ years. Ever since a handful of months ago has been the first time I’ve heard anything about this specific engineering degree. Overall, in the end, it sounds like you would be a pretty good resource for restoration, maintenance, and just the overall prolonging of pvc toys. With all of this being I assume completely truthful why is it when somebody else expresses interest in what seems to be the same interest as yourself?

Along with this specific shampoo, you’re referencing. I just want to make sure I’m getting everything correct it’s nothing you’ve made specifically just something you personally recommend off of what you believe to be the best solution overall for maintenance/cleaning?

Muddy Coyote:
So you've asked your battery of questions, what are the results of the testing for the squeaky clean?

Blue Bell:
I haven’t really gotten any answers to them tho?

It seems like a lot of the questions get dodged or vaguely answered

I’ll gladly rephrase any questions into the best detail I can possibly offer. If you could do the same, that would be grand. I would like to know what you specifically mean by testing what explicit results are you asking about here?

Muddy Coyote:
Im under an NDA so I have to qualify what I say

Blue Bell:
Copy, I’m assuming this NDA is for a company that you currently represent or have some form of affiliation to?

Muddy Coyote:
But this is not about my background, because of it is, we can discuss you and Mesci's background

Im notgoing to answer that

Blue Bell:
All good there

Muddy Coyote:
So what is your background, and mesci's qualifications?

Blue Bell:
My background isn’t anything all incredibly exciting. I work in exterior sales, I’m former service, I like to get out a lot

I’m sure Mesci has gone into pretty decent detail on parts of his background. I know some of that information is publicly available. I’m going to assume you likely already know that with the amount of times you reach out

Me personally I would love to hear you out on what you disagree with on the products and what you personally believe to be the best thing out there integrate detail, and why you don’t have to answer that, but it would help me make sense of a lot of things

All the ingredients are out there with the cleaner. You tell people it will harm the plasticizer over time. That is your claim what makes you state that? You don’t have to answer it, but it’s just going to make it difficult for me to personally find anything you state convincing

Muddy Coyote:
Blue bell I really don't care what you find convincing, I posted some of the info today in the repair group.

I will go into it later

But I have the qualifications, you and mesci have no formal training in plastics, or chemistry.

Right? You completly bypassed my question

Blue Bell:
Now see there’s a difference here I never claimed to be no chemist. Mesci hasn’t either. From what I’m gathering here you’ve had all these solutions or at least what you believe to be the best possible solution from what I’m gathering many many years now why is it that for the longest time so many people have been sticking with the dawn, clear dish soap? Why has that been the norm for the longest time until VVS came around? You are welcome to challenge whatever. I just find it somewhat concerning when you’ve got all these bold claims against someone with from what I’m gathering little information to really support it. In that group thread, there’s people sharing recommendations of shampoos that have ingredients in them that are explicitly known to not be wise to use on pvc. The testing is on them have been for human skin not PVC. I assume with these qualifications you got you would be telling people otherwise on those specifics.

I’m more than willing to hear you out on absolutely everything or at least what you’re willing to discuss but as of right now, I personally found a lot of things you stated pretty un confessing of course I can easily change my mind on that. I’m more than willing to hear out anything and everything you want to or can go into.

In the past you had a YouTube video about a couple of things I believe it’s now deleted. I’m not sure about specific cleaners but you have mentioned a couple of things about specific mixes you’ve made Im. Not sure if that’s in correlation to plasticizer.

With these qualifications overall, I’m curious on why you haven’t personally gone out of your way to come out with a full operation on these discoveries. From what I’m gathering, it sounds like you’re pretty driven about these things. What personally stopped you on making that next step into making sure absolutely everyone that shares a fascination for inflatables knows about it

Also sounds good. I look forward to the response

Muddy Coyote:
Im not sure where you are saying this stuff has been the norm until vvs showed up, ive been talking about this stuff publicly for 5 years.

Well what actual results do you have, you talk about my bold claims, what about yours? What makes what you say more pertinate than mine?

Blue Bell:
Can I ask where explicitly? I can’t say I’ve really ever seen anything. Please do share

Muddy Coyote:
And with your background in chemistry you can say without a doubt that shampoo is not good for pvc, is this what you are saying?

Because lets be clear here, you have been involved in this for what 2 years?

Blue Bell:
In what? Pooltoys? Or restoration/maintenance?

Muddy Coyote:
Ok, so where are your results, you talk about my info being unconfessing, whete is your actual testing results

Blue Bell:
There have been people in your group. I’m not sure if you’ve explicitly recommended this product. Can I add? Do you recommend this product when it comes to cleaning?

Muddy Coyote:
Come on, what are we talking about here, more diversion

Blue Bell:
Just have to verify

None of the information you’ve stated to me has been proven. It’s just been claimed from what it sounds like. There are some things you probably can’t answer which is totally OK, but it’s not going to be all too convincing for myself to confidently stand by your statements.

Muddy Coyote:
You are throwing all you can about me, but again, neither of you have any formal training, you have only been doing the maintenance and so on for 2 years, and you still refuse to provide results.

So basically this is a waste of time.

Blue Bell:
I am more than willing to be convinced by what you are telling me, but I would love to have more concrete evidence in what’s being stated

Standby on this here temporarily, I want to make sure I get all my information correct here

Muddy Coyote:
Again you haven't provided any actual info at all, every question has been dodged and no actual information provided.

And again, I dont work for you, I dont owe you anything.

Nope stop

Done with this waste of time

Blue Bell:
I want to make sure all my ducks are in a row before giving all the specific information your after. I don’t want to state anything before having everything 100% confidently understood

I can’t say I really gotten any answers out of yourself either all I’ve heard you say is I have the qualifications, the recommended products, from what I’m seeing some of these products have known negative reactions/ingredients in PVC. Tested on human skin, not PCV. You are absolutely correct you don’t owe me absolutely anything but it’s not at all going to convince me anything you say being viable or convincing. Within the next couple of hours I’ll share all the information, ingredients, tests, necessary. I want to make sure everything that I’m stating is completely in line.

After that feel free to respond with whatever that will be totally up to you. I’m always willing to hear anyone out, but in the end I would like to be convinced by the statements/claims with as much evidence offered

As of now here’s all the public information I can provide that has great detail on it

Muddy Coyote:
Again, I'm held by an NDA

I find it interesting how you twist things around to fit your agenda, and you are doing it in a way to try and get me to cross a line.

Yet you have provided zero actual info, this has been all about me and what I do.

And nothing from you about your qualifications, mesci's or your actual certified test results, all you've done is try a turn everything around.

Blue Bell:
For my own personal response to it I’ll get all that information to ya here once I make sure everything I’m stating lines up appropriately

What in this nda are you being held by?

That’s all I’ve got at this time. I’ll shoot ya a jingle here later tonight. Take care for now.

Muddy Coyote:
No keep your jingle over there

This is the major difference between vvs "you and Mesci" and me.

I'm giving advise about ways to prolong the longevity of their squeaks, or advice about products that are not formulated and safe for soft flexible pvc plasticizer.
We use products that have been on the market for years and are certified safe for use.

This is where we differ, you are both advising the public and selling products that you allegedly made. These products, "based on information on your own site and comments made by you Blue Bell, and Mesci on several platforms, proper testing of these products haven't been done". So what we know is that this cleaner was formulated with materials that "you both say is safe to use on soft flexible plasticized pvc vinyl".

Yet neither of you have any chemical background at all, or have any polymeric training.

So vvs is telling customers that their products are safe based on customer recommendations and non-certified testing completed by whom? No one knows, because there are no documents explaining it.

Then you are selling these products to the general public to be used on thier property.

So here are the facts,
Decyl Glucoside
Coco Glucoside
Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside
Lauramine Oxide

These surfactants coupled with Phenoxyethanol a strong solvent cause plasticizer to leach from flexible plasticized pvc vinyl. At temperatures above 70°F /21°C the leaching effect accelerates.

So depending on the material, plasticizer, stabilizer package, thickness, and environmental components, these four (4) ingrediants alone can cause plasticizer to leach and be washed away.

Surfactant Micelles Drive Extraction:

Decyl Glucoside, Coco Glucoside, Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside, and Lauramine Oxide are all highly effective amphiphilic surfactants.
When they mix with water, they form tiny clusters called micelles. The interior of these micelles is highly hydrophobic (oily).
Because PVC plasticizers are hydrophobic, they naturally want to leave the PVC matrix to hide inside the oily centers of these surfactant micelles.

The addition of Phenoxyethanol to this formula absolutely accelerates the leaching of plasticizers from flexible PVC vinyl.
While it is only used as a preservative in small amounts (typically 0.5% to 1%), its specific chemical structure makes it highly disruptive to flexible vinyl.

This is the info you asked for.

Now lets talk about this for a moment;

These ingredients in squeaky clean,
Sodium Benzoate
Disodium EDTA
Boric Acid
Sodium Borate

When these ingredients come into direct contact with human skin "can" cause burns, and other medical issues with human tissues.

Have you Blue Bell or Mesci had squeaky clean tested by a lab to be safe when it comes into contact with skin?

Have these tests included risks of sweaty human skin coming in contact with the residue left behind after washing without proper rinsing? Especially in warm temps?

How about answering these questions...

  • They are not for human consumption and can pose choking or poisoning hazards to children and pets.

  • Flexible plastics often contain phthalates, dioxin, and heavy metals like lead. These can leach into the environment, potentially harm all that come in to contact with it.

  • Some flexible plastics can melt or cause a "gooey mess" if mixed with incorrect substances such as but not limited to; Plasticizers, Degreasers, Solvents, Adhesives, and High heat.

  • Products should be filled with air that contains 21% oxygen

  • California Proposition 65 warnings for flexible PVC products are required due to the presence of plasticizers like DEHP and DINP, as well as additives like titanium dioxide. These specific chemicals are added to make plastic soft and are known to cause cancer or reproductive harm.
